SPEAKERS AT TRUMP'S VIRGINIA RALLY UNINTENTIONALLY REVEAL UNSETTLING FACTS

Image
Donald Trump’s warm-up acts for his rally in Virginia have at least twice told the truth about the former president’s record. Here is an admission that Trump had the highest black unemployment: In April of 2020, Trump did have the highest black unemployment in the last 33 years at 16.7%. Trump’s mishandling of COVID wiped out the job gains black Americans that occured in the earlier part of his term. By the way, those job gains and decreases started under former President Obama. Later one of his speakers had correct himself when started to say that Putin wasn’t terrified of Trump: This is true. How could Putin be terrified of someone who spent four years groveling for his approval. I am not sure what is going on in Virginia, but with the polls in the state showing that Trump leads Haley by less than ten points, his supporters aren’t doing the former president any favors.

Denver scaling back migrant services, closing 4 shelters in effort to reduce budget, save millions

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston announced Wednesday that the city is scaling back migrant services and will consolidate shelters with the goal of saving the city millions of dollars. During a press conference, Johnston said over the next month, one shelter will close each week, with the closures expected to reduce the current budget deficit by nearly $60 million and reallocate those funds back into city services. However, Johnston warned that the closure plan could change if the city sees massive surges of arrivals and again has to increase its shelter space and migrant services. Johnston added that with shelters closing, no one will be kicked out, they will simply be moved to another shelter, FOX 31 reported. DENVER CUTTING SOME CITY EMPLOYEES’ HOURS DOWN TO ZERO IN ORDER TO SUPPORT MIGRANTS "We’re putting in place now the infrastructure to be able to manage what we would need if that [another surge] happens. Bryan Kohberger case: Idaho court pushes making decision on potential change of venue, trial date

No decision was made to set a trial date for University of Idaho student murders suspect Bryan Kohberger on Wednesday, but a hearing will be held in May to determine whether to move the proceedings elsewhere. Kohberger returned to court as Judge John Judge heard arguments for trial scheduling and the defense's request for a change of venue. Judge set a May 14 hearing to decide on a potential change of venue. Defense attorneys have argued that the massive publicity surrounding the case could impact potential jurors. He said he did want to move the trial to another county, but that he'll do what's necessary.  Prosecutors said the publicity is everywhere, and the main issues is how the media coverage affects the jurors. "I'm listening carefully to both sides, and it's a complicated case," Judge said. "It's a death penalty case." James Comer Is Now Throwing Chuck Grassley Under The Bus As Biden Impeachment Implodes

Image
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is now throwing Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) under the bus as Biden impeachment crumbles. Comer responded when asked Larry Kudlow if it was true that the impeachment investigation is over: That’s not true. Smirnov was a tip that we received from Chuck Grassley. We investigated the tip, but we couldn’t determine whether or not the tip was accurate because we didn’t know who the informant was. All we, Jim Jordan and I, knew about the informant was what Christopher Wray told us, that he was one of the highest paid, most trusted informants in the entire Bureau and that he had worked for the Bureau for over 10 years. Most of the people that were involved. In that allegation, we’re in Ukraine. Well, I can’t go to Ukraine. I can’t send my staff. We talked about this on this many times. Video: Comer claims on Fox Business that “I can’t go to Ukraine,” even though members of Congress have routinely been going there even since Russia’s full-scale ...
